Notepad ++

Notepad++ is a free source code editor and Notepad replacement that supports several languages.

Instructions

  1. Click the Download software button
  2. Choose 32- or 64-bit, according to your operating system - if you are unsure, please refer to this guidance - then choose the package you want to download (the installer is usually easiest)
  3. Once downloaded, run the file and follow the on-screen instructions to install.

Requirements

  • Operating System: Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit) or above for full functionality, or XP for functionality without updater and plugins admin.
  • CPU: Intel Pentium III CPU or higher, or any other compatible brand CPU
  • Memory: 2GB of total RAM
  • Storage: 20MB space on your hard disk to install notepad++, plus additional space for your files
