Read & Write 12
Read & Write is a software program to support you with reading comprehension, research skills, proofreading and spelling and grammar.
Read & Write has many functions that can help you to edit and proofread your work, including a read aloud feature, an advanced spell checker, and grammar checking features. It can also read aloud any document on your computer - for example, an e-book or journal article. If you have difficulty identifying mistakes in your own work, why not see if this software can help you!
What do I need?
If you are in a public place, your own headphones so you can listen to text being read aloud to you. You can also watch the inbuilt videos available for most features, which demonstrate how to use them.

How do I access it?
To locate it on a campus computer, type ‘Read’ in the search button on your computer and it will appear in the list of programs.

Mindview 8.0
MindView is mind mapping software, which allows you to brainstorm and organise your thoughts and ideas. It has many functions that can help you with a variety of assignments - for example: reports, lesson planning, essays, and projects.
MindView allows you to insert text into the mind map so you can develop your ideas. You can save your work and return to it as you like.
Text you have inserted into your mind map can be transferred to other formats such as Word, PDF or PowerPoint. This means that you can view the mind map in a linear format in PowerPoint or Word.
What do I need?
If you are in a public place, your own headphones so you can watch the in-built videos if you want to. These videos explain how to use the different features on MindView.
