Introduction

Your studies may be coming to an end, but you will always be part of our community. This page explains all the support and resources Manchester Met continues to offer you after you finish your studies.

  • Our alumni community

Did you know that we have over 340,000 alumni living across the world, with a further 10,000+ new graduates joining the community each year? You are part of our alumni community as soon as you complete your studies with us.

As a member, you will have access to a range of perks that will support you in your professional and personal life – including exclusive discounts, careers support, volunteering opportunities, and invitations to networking events. Visit our alumni benefits page to find out more.

Make sure you update your details to hear about benefits and opportunities.

  • Enhanced careers support

As you look to the future, it’s never been more important to have access to the right support and resources - and our Careers Service is here for you every step of the way.

Search for graduate jobs, prepare for interviews, gain work experience, explore working for yourself, and much more via our Careers Support for Graduates webpage. If you’re considering further study, you can find information about that too.

You’ll continue to have access to Career Hub, where you can search for the latest graduate jobs and careers events as well as connect with our careers team.

The interactive tools on Career Centre are still available to you too, so get your CV checked, practice your interview technique, or expand your knowledge about your career options through the wide range of e-learning resources.

  • Progress to postgraduate study

We offer a wide range of postgraduate qualifications, and up to an exclusive 20% alumni loyalty discount to eligible students. Visit our Progress to Postgraduate Study page for more information.

Visit our meet us page to learn about upcoming on campus and virtual events where you can learn more about Postgraduate study at Manchester Met.

Postgraduate student Kate talks about her experiences at Manchester Metropolitan University, studying MSc Health Psychology.
  • Extended access to your student email, Office 365, and other digital services

If you graduate in 2024, you will have access to your emails for 18 months from the date you graduate. However, access to the Microsoft 365 Suite (inc One drive) will stop immediately after you graduate.

You will need to use your Manchester Met log in details ([email protected] and password) to access these services.

  • Continue to explore Library resources

To support your future career and study ambitions, you have extended access to the Library’s digital resources for two years after your course end date.

You can also access the Library and borrow items for 90 days after your course end date. Following this, you can apply for an alumni membership card so you can continue to visit and borrow books.

Before you finish, please make sure you return any outstanding Library books. Drop them back by Wednesday  31 July and you will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 voucher!

Get in touch with us by email: [email protected] if you have any questions.

  • Getting your results

For the majority of level 6 students who are due to graduate this summer, the results will be published on 27 June 2024. This date may vary for some professional and collaborative programmes.

We will contact you nearer the time to let you know how and when you can access your results.

In the meantime, you can use our undergraduate degree classification calculator to estimate the degree you will be awarded based on your grades.

  • Graduation ceremony information and updates

Your Graduation ceremony is a truly special event and a hugely important part of your time at university. We look forward to celebrating your academic success with you in the Bridgewater Hall between 15 – 25 July 2024.

Please make sure you visit our Class of 2024 graduation webpage regularly for the latest updates.

  • Share your views in the Graduate Outcomes Survey

It’s not just during your time at the University that your student voice matters.

The Graduate Outcomes Survey takes place 15 months after your course end date and is your opportunity to share your experience since graduating from Manchester Met.

It’s important that your voice is heard in this national survey, and the information you provide will help drive improvements for current and future students.
