Sport has become a global growth industry, where the performance of the business behind the scenes is just as important as the performance on the pitch, court or course. Today, there’s huge investment in venues for sport at every level – not just as physical arenas, but vehicles for maximising revenue from sporting events, fan engagement, marketing and sponsorship sales. Health and fitness initiatives are launched regularly, with public and private sector backing, while the sports branding and clothing industry continues to generate millions of pounds every year.
It all adds up to a world full of opportunity for a rewarding future in the sports industry. And there are few better places for exploring that world than Manchester, the city of sport.
