BSc (Hons) Fashion Marketing will equip students with the essential skills needed for a career in fashion marketing. The increasingly competitive world of fashion relies on good marketing strategies to succeed. The curriculum emphasis of this course is the development and application of key marketing theories and covers all aspects of fashion marketing in a global and circular economy. From a small business start-up to the luxury brand catwalk, students will study a diverse range of subjects with industry experts, collaborations, and self-directed study choices.

This course provides students with specialist knowledge in the theory, practice, digital and ethical aspects of marketing, and therefore equips students with the necessary skills to understand the marketing of fashion, from operational understanding in the first year through to the strategic perspective of senior management in the final year. The final year facilitates students’ exploration of the potential future markets, changes and business strategies employed to maximise profit. Marketing in different sized organisations and for different market levels will also be included, with opportunities to provide marketing consultancy and start or support a new enterprise. Graduates will be highly employable, and strong practitioners - with exemplary transferable skills. The course aims to produce successful professionals and entrepreneurs in a truly exciting field of work.

Full-time fee: £9,250 per year. This tuition fee is agreed subject to UK government policy and parliamentary regulation and may increase each academic year in line with inflation or UK government policy for both new and continuing students.
Full-time fee: £20,000 per year. Tuition fees will remain the same for each year of your course providing you complete it in the normal timeframe (no repeat years or breaks in study).
A degree typically comprises 360 credits, a DipHE 240 credits, a CertHE 120 credits, and an integrated masters 480 credits. The tuition fee for the placement year for those courses that offer this option is £1,850, subject to inflationary increases based on government policy and providing you progress through the course in the normal timeframe (no repeat years or breaks in study). The tuition fee for the study year abroad for those courses that offer this option is £1,385, subject to inflationary increases based on government policy and providing you progress through the course in the normal timeframe (no repeat years or breaks in study).
Students will be expected to pay for printing and binding for some assignments.
Laptop:
Students may also choose to purchase a laptop. Laptops are used in class across all years of the programme. The university has computer facilities across the campus, however for study beyond the campus a laptop may prove useful.
Trips:
Students have the option of a choice of national or international study trips during their study. Trips are tailored to support the learning on the programme. Costings are sourced from university-approved travel agents and are outlined to students upon briefing of the trips. Costs vary in-line with the current market and student numbers. Costs vary between countries and areas, however we will provide students an indication of destinations and costs well ahead of time. Examples recent trips on related courses include Europe during year one, Munich for year two and Vietnam for year three students. Optional trip approximate costs: year one £500, year two £900, year three £1200.
International Exchanges:
Students also have the opportunity of collaborations and studying within partner international educational institutions for a period of time during year two. Costs vary hugely between countries and areas, so it is very important to research costs well ahead of time and budget accurately. Students are supported by an International team. International funding may be available to apply for, dependent on country and international policy / governmental agreements in place at the time.
Placement Year and Placement Year with Overseas Study:
Students may take an optional UK based or overseas internships as part of the placement year after year two. Students are encouraged and supported to obtain paid placements. Costs vary between countries and areas, so it is very important to research costs well ahead of time and budget accurately. Students are supported by an International team if accepting positions overseas. International funding may be available to apply for, dependent on country and international policy / governmental agreements in place at the time. Additional costs for travel /relocation, accommodation and subsidies to salary may be required depending on position, salary offer, duration and location.

Money MattersGraduates will go on to undertake a range of marketing roles such as sustainable sourcing allocator, e-commerce executive, customer relationship executive, social media manager, marketing assistant and PR.
