This collection of over 1,000 exhibition, advertising and campaign posters includes the work of many important 20th century graphic designers. It holds posters from the UK, France, Germany, Belarus, Czechoslovakia, Russia, Japan, USA, Australia and South Africa, and is particularly strong in posters from the former Eastern Europe.
Key figures such as Gerhard Voigt, Alain le Quernec, Josep Ramon Gomez, Alan Fletcher, Juris Dimiters, Gunter Rambow, FHK Henrion, and Grapus are represented, as well as commercial advertising and design agencies such as Bartle Bogart Hegarty and Pentagram.

Well-known advertising and propaganda campaigns can be found in the collection including:
- Hugh Marshall’s advertisements for Bull’s Blood Wine in the 1970s
- David Lance Goines’ Chez Panisse posters from the 1980s
- International HIV and AIDS awareness campaigns from the 1980s
- the controversial Benetton series by Oliviero Toscani from the 1990s
