Zone Out for World Mental Health Day
Take some time out to relax and unwind from studying as part of World Mental Health Day. Join us at our Zone Out event on Thursday 10 October, between 11am-2pm in the Brooks building, with activities including massages, giveaways, and animal therapy.

Are you looking for a part-time job to support your studies? Come along to the part-time jobs fair on Thursday 10 October. It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with employers from across Greater Manchester who are offering part-time positions.

If you’re interested in learning more about the Adobe Creative Campus, including photoshop, adobe express, or even premier pro, come to our drop-in event to meet the Adobe team! You’ll get to learn more about Adobe Creative Campus and you’ll gain access to Adobe Express for your laptop and mobile device.
There are also a mixture of staff and student focused webinars which you are welcome to join, where you can learn CV and Digital Portfolio skills, as well as mastering your presentations with templates in Adobe Stock.

Around Manchester
Manchester Oktoberfest is back for its 10th anniversary celebration. Get ready for a weekend of fun, food, music and even fancy dress! The official Oktoberfest even will be held at Sackville Street Carpark this year. Student tickets are available at £10, including a Bavarian Festbeer!

Manchester’s international festival of international film is back for October with a Halloween special! With four days of exclusive film screenings covering Horror, Thriller, Sci-Fi and even Comedy – you’re bound to find something you like. Get a pass for the weekend, a day, or individual tickets if just one film takes your fancy.

Pumpkin Picking around Manchester
Nothing says autumn like a spot of pumpkin picking! Get into the Halloween spirit, gather some friends and make a day of picking your own pumpkins and having a carving party. With plenty of options in and around Manchester, you’ll be ready for Halloween in no time.

Manchester Literature Festival
Got an interest in literature? Get stuck into Manchester Literature Festival with a variety of free and paid talks and events across the city. Including, an audience with R.F. Kuang, author of the award winning novel of the summer, Yellowface. With over 50 scheduled events across the month, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Manchester Adventure Golf Masters
Fancy yourself a decent mini golfer? The World Minigolf Federation (WMF) is launching its first Adventure Golf Masters at Trafford Golf Centre. Accessible by tram from Manchester City Centre, students aged 18 and under can enter for a reduced cost of £15, with standard entry at £27 – plus, there’s a chance to win a £500 grand prize!
