Ceremony timings

We’re looking forward to seeing you at Graduation and are working hard on the final preparations to make sure your day runs as smoothly as possible. You will be emailed your digital ticket the week before ceremonies begin so please look out for this. You’ll be able to collect guest tickets from The Midland Hotel during your registration.

Enhanced bag checks will be taking place at the main entrance of the Bridgewater Hall. Bags and overcoats will not be permitted into the auditorium—a cloakroom will be available. Flags, banners, smoke bombs, confetti poppers, pyrotechnics, and liquids will not be allowed into the building as per The Bridgewater Hall security policy.

We respectfully ask that graduands and guests support the spirit of the occasion and the achievements of your fellow attendees by:

  • Following the guidance for the day and arriving at your ceremony on time. More information about timings for the day can be found below and will be in your ticket email.
  • Remaining seated for the duration of the event. Please note ceremonies can run for up to two hours.
  • Stepping outside the auditorium with young children if they become restless.
