Find information about your award, when you will receive your certificate and who to contact with questions.
As ceremonies are a celebratory event rather than a conferment of your award, certificates are not handed out at graduation. They are processed and should reach you sometime in the September following your ceremony.
Ensure your permanent address is up to date on our records to receive your certificate. The responsibility is on you as the student to ensure your permanent address is kept up to date throughout the academic year if it changes.
A permanent address is used to send correspondence to you outside of term or upon course completion. The permanent address can be any address you consider your permanent residence and that you will have access to after you have received your final marks.
If your award documents are sent to a student house you’ve moved out of, or an overseas address when you’re now permanently living in the UK, there may be a delay of several months until you can receive your documents. This could lead to delays with applications for visas, jobs or further study.
Current students can update their address via the online enrolment page. There is a button titled ‘Update Your Contact Details Only’. You will be prompted to login and then you can update your permanent address.
Past students, please contact the Student Hub (0161 247 1000) to update your permanent address.
Please note, if you owe outstanding tuition fee debt to the University, you will not get your certificate until it has been paid. It is important that you have provided a permanent address. If you have questions about this, email us at [email protected].
