The Governance and Secretariat team at Manchester Metropolitan University is responsible for ensuring that there are effective governance arrangements in place within the University.
The team leads and advises on constitutional matters, supports the Board of Governors and provides professional support to the University Executive Group, Academic Board and other decision-making bodies of the University.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting the Board of Governors and its Committees
- Overseeing arrangements for the recruitment, induction and development of new Governors
- Co-ordinating communications to Governors
- Providing the secretariat service to:
- Leading on committee servicing standards across the University
- Overseeing Governors and Senior Staff Register of Interest
- Provides guidance on the development and approval route for University policies
- The University Calendar
