You’re ready to search for a job, but where do you begin? Here are some tips to help you understand the types of opportunities available to you as a graduate.
Graduate jobs
Graduate jobs are immediate start, entry-level and open to all graduates. These roles come in all shapes and sizes and might not have the word ‘graduate’ in the title. We recommend filtering by your non-negotiables, such as location or salary. Search and apply for jobs using our recommended jobs boards:
Exclusive graduate jobs
Apply for exclusive graduate jobs across Greater Manchester using Career Hub. Exclusive jobs are only available to recent Manchester Met graduates, putting you at an advantage in the application and interview process.

Graduate schemes
Graduate schemes are structured training programmes that you should apply for in your final year of study. The closing date to apply for most schemes is during semester one and they can be very competitive, so you should apply as early as possible.
Graduate schemes typically start between June and September after you graduate and last between one to three years, and can often lead to permanent positions afterwards.
