Biography
I have been Head of Department of Life Sciences since 2018. Prior to joining Manchester Metropolitan University, I was a Biomedical Scientist within the NHS. I maintain my professional registration with the regulator. I work closely with the Health and Care Professions Council, Institute for Biomedical Science (IBMS) and National School for Health Care Science on improving education and training.
I am an active Fellow of IBMS and hold chartered scientist status.
Interests and expertise
My interests and expertise are in Biomedical and Healthcare Scientist education. In particular, I am interested in collaborative education, working across institutions. In 2018, MAHSE received a Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence from Academy HE for our cross institutional working.
