Projects
In May 2011 I conducted a study entitled ‘Fasting periods for Day Surgery patients: an audit into adherence to fasting guidance’. I presented this study nationally (Royal College of Surgeons, London) and internationally (International Conference for PeriAnaesthesia Nurses, Toronto) and my findings were published in 2013 (Journal of Periopertive Practice). I recently completed a piece of research into the effectiveness of RLOs (Reusable Learning Objects) with student nurses, I intend to publish this work in the near future and have already been accepted to present my findings in Chicago in November 2014.
