I am a module and personal tutor within the BA Education and BA Early Childhood Studies degree programmes, and have supervised research projects on our taught Masters programmes. In my previous role at Man Met, I developed and delivered faculty-embedded and university-wide study skills and pastoral support for students, which shaped my growing scholarly interests in HE students’ critical thinking practices, and tutors’ relational pedagogies.

I previously held module leader roles at the University of Salford, and later the Royal Northern College of Music. I have worked in Higher Education for over 25 years, across central student services and academic departments.

I am advice and guidance trained, and a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
