Projects
I am currently working on these research projects:
(2024) An analysis of corrective behavioural practices in fiction books adopted by primary schools for the development of the National Curriculum.
This project is co-led with neurodivergent students in the Psychology Department at MMU. We are looking into rhetoric of normativity in fiction books set in schools and how these might impact neurodivergent children.
(2024) Well-being and Mental Health Experiences of Parents of Autistic Children in Mainstream Schools in the UK
This is a collaborative research project with Edge Hill University. We are investigating the experiences of parents of autistic children and how the system supports their wellbeing and mental health. We are using institutional trauma lens.
