My profile

Biography

At Manchester Metropolitan University I hope to enrich and positively shape the learning experience of the next generation of Physiotherapy students. My aim is to draw on my extensive experience in musculoskeletal Sports Medicine and Physiotherapy to deliver high quality teaching and education. I am also a member of the MMU Admissions team for both the BSc. and Pre-reg. Physiotherapy programmes, responsible for organising and managing the application process and selection of future physiotherapy students.

I have worked extensively throughout professional sport. Whilst at Manchester United, my team’s dedication to athlete health and performance was unparalleled, and my role as a Senior Physiotherapist was at the forefront of this charge. Leveraging a Master of Science in Sport & Exercise Medicine, I specialise in medical diagnostics and the application of medical ultrasound, ensuring the highest standards of care for injured athletes and patients alike.

My time at the UK Ministry of Defence honed my competencies in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, which informed my approach to injury rehabilitation at Manchester United and now reinforces teaching to under and post-graduate students. With a commitment to excellence, innovation, and the integration of advanced sports science, I contribute to a culture that prioritizes the well-being and optimal performance of athletes and students alike.
