I worked in community education and regeneration before entering HE initially as a researcher and then as a lecturer in Education Studies. My research interests are related to class and equality issues in education and most specifically higher education. I am currently working on a PhD examining the impact of widening participation on students and practice within HE. I have co-authored a number of books on Education Studies
