Professional law study at Manchester Met
We offer two professional study routes for aspiring barristers and solicitors in England and Wales.
How to qualify as a barrister
First, you have to complete a bar training course. You’ll need to do this before starting your pupillage.
Our professionally-focused bar training course will prepare you for life as a barrister.
How to qualify as a solicitor
All trainee solicitors must pass the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE).
Although no further professional qualifications are required, our Master of Laws (LLM) courses will help you prepare for the content and structure of the SQE.
