Biography

Aparna Gonibeed has been a Senior Lecturer of People and Performance since 2018. 

Prior to joining academia, Aparna has practiced as a qualified counsellor and in various HR roles in the Indian IT industry.  She has also consulted on growth  management strategies for mid-sized organisations in India. She then pursued her PhD from Loughborough University. As a fellow of the Higher Education Academy, she currently leads and delivers mainly on the topic of ‘Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion’ across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. 

Aparna’s research is principally focused on the micro-conflicts and micro-tensions that arise in the workplace, with a particular focus on the role of HR professionals in resolving these issues. She is available for PhD supervision on topics like but not limited to: HR role, employee voice, conflicts at work, morality and ethics at work, sociology of the workplace.
