My profile
Biography
As a dedicated and experienced educator, I am deeply passionate about teaching and learning. I believe strongly that education is the key to unlocking an individual’s full potential and creating opportunities for social mobility.
I contribute to the BA Business Management programme, serving as module lead for Employability Skills and Managing Your Digital Footprint. Additionally, I support students as a Personal Academic Tutor and teach across both the Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship and the Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Practitioner programmes.
In my role as DELTA Lead, I focus on Active Learning and continuously explore innovative teaching approaches. I am particularly interested in the evolving role of AI and how it can be integrated into educational practices to enhance learning experiences.
My research centres on the development of entrepreneurial competencies, with a focus on how creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills can equip learners to become activists, intrapreneurs, and changemakers.
Ultimately, my goal as an educator is to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment that empowers students to reach their full potential. I am constantly seeking innovative methods to engage with my students, helping them achieve their goals, and I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact in their academic and personal lives.
Projects
The Developing Education Excellence Project: Enhancing Entrepreneurial Competencies, aims to create an Innovation and Creativity in Teaching and Learning Toolkit. This toolkit will include guides for activities, lessons, and case studies to be used across the Faculty of Business and Law. Helping to prepare students for future challenges and supporting organisations by equipping future employees with the tools to drive innovation in dynamic markets. Additionally, it aligns with the faculty’s strategic goals and will enhance the inclusive student experience by incorporating ideas like Design Thinking and leveraging business engagement through the Centre for Enterprise.
Teaching
As an experienced educator, I am deeply passionate about teaching and learning. I strongly believe that education is the key to unlocking one’s full potential and creating opportunities for social mobility.
My focus on metacognition, or the ability to think about one’s own thinking, allows me to help my students develop lifelong learning skills that extend far beyond the classroom. I am dedicated to equipping my students with the tools they need to succeed in their chosen fields, and to fostering a love of learning that will stay with them throughout their lives.
In addition to my work in the classroom, I am committed to promoting employability skills. I believe that every student deserves access to the resources and support they need to succeed in their chosen careers, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status.
Overall, my goal as an educator is to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment that empowers students to achieve their full potential. I am always looking for new and innovative ways to engage with my students and help them reach their goals, and I am excited to continue making a difference in the lives of the students I work with.
