What we offer

The Faculty Outreach team delivers pre-entry activities both on and off campus to support students in understanding more about studying their subject of interest at degree level and making informed choices. We work with schools and colleges to support the development of knowledge and interest in our subject areas.

We run a range of activities to support both students and teachers or advisors.  To discuss or book an activity with our friendly Faculty Outreach team, please contact us at subjectoutreach@mmu.ac.uk.

Subject Taster Days

These can be held over a half or full day on our campus, and allow students to explore what it might be like to study a particular subject with us.  Often including an interactive workshop, campus tour and Q&A session with current students, the content of these days can be tailored to best suit your students.

Guest Lectures

These provide an opportunity for students to experience a taster of a university lecture experience in a chosen subject. This can provide a fresh insight and perspective into a subject area to support their learning and enthuse students about university study. These can be delivered in person or virtually to suit your needs.

Teacher Networks

We are keen to establish links between teachers and advisors in schools and colleges, and our staff. This will inform our activity to ensure it is most useful to you and your students and help us understand how best we can support students in their transition to university.
