Apprenticeship standard and assessment information
The apprenticeship standard provides the building blocks for our Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship. It is the blueprint for the development of our apprentices across the duration of the course. The standard will be used regularly during reviews as a point of reference, and we recommend that you familiarise yourself with its contents. The Assessment Plan includes information about the end-point assessment (EPA).
Work-based projects
All apprentices undertake a synoptic work-based project towards the end of their apprenticeship, which forms a crucial part of the end-point assessment process. In addition, there may be other smaller projects which apprentices are required to complete throughout their apprenticeship.
The synoptic project is a significant live project, managed in the workplace by the apprentice across a substantial period of time (approximately 6 months). It should be aligned to organisational need and demonstrate strategic impact and return on investment.
Further details can be found in the following guide: Introduction to work-based projects.

End-point assessment (EPA) guidance
The EPA is an integral component of the course. The degree will be achieved upon successful completion of this assessment.
The EPA is designed in collaboration with employers and applies to all organisations delivering this apprenticeship. Find out more about what your apprentices will be expected to do as part of the EPA on the Institute for Apprenticeships website.
