How to pay

All course fees must be paid before you start your course unless you are sponsored/funded by:

  • an employer (including Manchester Met)
  • government agency
  • other organisation
  • or have arranged a loan to fund your course fees.

If you are paying your own course fees you may be eligible to join our instalment scheme to pay in two or three instalments during the academic year, which you will be able to do during your online enrolment.

Course fee messages

If Student Billings knows your funding position before you enrol, the screen will show 100% funding confirmed.

If your course funding is not already known, you must select the appropriate payment option(s).  You will find an explanation of the different options below.

I’ve already paid my fees

Only tick this box if you have already paid your fees in full before online enrolment.

You will need to indicate details of the payment(s) you have made or that have been made on your behalf. Please include method of payment, amount, date of payment and the transaction reference number for payments made online.

You should ensure that you keep your email payment acknowledgement if you have made a payment using the online payment facility in case of any query. This acknowledgement includes a unique payment reference, which allows Manchester Met to track the payment.

Employer or sponsor (funding provider)

You should tick this box if your employer or sponsor (internal or external) is paying all, or part, of your course fees.

The University can only accept companies, overseas embassies, or other organisations - such as schools, councils, or the NHS - as sponsors. If a friend or family member is paying your fees, please choose a different payment method option.

If we have not received your employer/sponsor letter or email, you will need to indicate the name of your employer/sponsor during your enrolment and send this documentation to the University (email [email protected] ) as soon as possible. We are not able to charge fees to your employer/sponsor without their written consent.

You must submit documentation from your employer/sponsor confirming their intention to pay unless otherwise informed during your online enrolment. If we do not receive this documentation you will be responsible for the payment and will receive an invoice accordingly.

Any other method

You will need to select this method if your fees will be paid by:

  • US Financial Aid
  • Advanced Learner Loan
  • Any Other Method

If you select US Financial Aid, our International team will let us know how much and when your aid will be received.

If you select Any other method, you will be asked to provide additional information and advised to contact our Finance Service Centre once you have received your invoice to agree your payment method.
