Biography
I am a Philosophy Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University. My research interests include bio-power and biopolitics, 20th-century and contemporary French Theory (especially Foucault and Canguilhem), the concepts of norms and normativity in contemporary French philosophy, the concepts of truth and discourse in 20th-century/contemporary French thought and the links between the notions of resilience and sustainability.

Teaching
Why do I teach?
I teach Philosophy because it is to me the best way to get to understand and challenge the ever-increasing complexity of the world around us. Teaching allows me to constantly think, challenge and re-evaluate my own assumptions, and is a true motor for research and renewed intellectual curiosity.
How I’ll teach you
I will do my best to instigate philosophical questioning from real-life problems and situations, as well as to help students to become confident when engaging with philosophical texts. I will encourage discussion and interaction, showing that Philosophy is not simply an academic subject, but also a perpetual way to engage with the world around us.
