Events management university courses for Clearing 2024

We are now closed for Clearing 2024. If you are looking for a course starting in September 2025, please visit our subject pages.

My name is Shaun Litler and I am the programme leader and admissions tutor for The BA (Hons) Events Management course.

Find your focus

Our events management degree course covers a wide range of areas.

We prepare our students to manage successful live events – from weddings and celebrations to mega events such as the Olympics and World Cup.

Before Clearing, try to get an understanding of how events are run. If you’re going to a big event like Glastonbury or Wimbledon, or just watching on TV, think about how the events industry is involved.

Also, consider which aspect of the event you would enjoy working in and find rewarding. You could be front-of-house meeting attendees, or managing crowds and security. The range of employment opportunities is wide, so think about what really appeals to you.

The secret to finding your ideal course is understanding what you’re interested in.

Kick starting your career

You’re taking your first steps into the global event management industry when you join the BA (Hons) Events Management course.

Our learning activities ensure you have the required skills, knowledge and real-world events experience for a successful career. You’ll have the option of a work placement, and can opt to study or work abroad. Consider whether that’s something you want.

The course will allow you to choose which area of events you would like to specialist in – whether that’s sports, fashion, festivals, business or another niche.

What we look for in students

Our tutors will be looking for a keen, passionate interest in events.

You do not need to have work experience in events or event tourism – we offer a placement year to build your project management skills.

You can find the entry requirements on the course page, along with part-time and full-time options, English language requirements, and tuition fee details.
