Mature Students
At Manchester Metropolitan University 14% of our full time undergraduates are mature (over 21) when they start their degree.
Page Components
We recognise mature students may have different support needs from a typical school/college leaver, and many will have additional responsibilities outside of their course.
We therefore want to ensure you can access the financial, pastoral, and wellbeing support you need to help you make a success of your university experience.

Pre-entry support
We work collaboratively with other institutions across Greater Manchester to provide a range of activities and information for mature learners - GM Higher
We also have dedicated resources and presentations and can facilitate visits to the university to find out more about the support we can offer.

Financial Support
Mature students are a priority group for financial support, and can apply for support through our day-to-day support. In addition the team are able to support with any issues around Student Finance and can support you in accessing the funding you require.
