About this scholarship

Funding of up to £12,000 for experienced managers. Check if you’re eligible, and how to apply.

  • Value:
    • £12,000 awarded against tuition fees over two years for one student (£6000 discount in years 1 and 2).
    • £6,000 awarded against tuition fees over two years for one student (£3000 discount in years 1 and 2). 
  • Study level: Postgraduate — new students in their first year only.
  • Eligible courses: MBA Master of Business Administration

You can only apply for a scholarship if we’ve offered you a place at Manchester Met.

Deadlines for applying: 

  • If we offer you a place, you must apply for the scholarship by 30 June 2025

Aim of the scholarship

We care deeply about sustainability, wellbeing and equality, diversity and inclusion on our MBA.

Research from McKinsey & Company in 2023 showed that companies with better growth and profitability that improve their environmental, social and governance performance, outgrow their peers and exceed them in shareholder returns.

The aim of this scholarship is to enable sustainability-focused leaders to progress their careers, improve their leadership skills and show the world they mean business.

Check if you can apply

To apply, you must: 

  • have accepted an offer to study on the MBA Master of Business Administration in the 2025/26 academic year
  • have a minimum of three years of managerial experience
  • be self-funding your studies. You should not have an offer to support your course fees from a business, charity or other organisation.
  • not be getting other university discounts or scholarships. If you are awarded more than one form of fee reduction, including discounts, awards or scholarships, only the greater amount will be applied. To learn more about how discounts and scholarships are applied, go to the Regulations for the Payment of University Fees.
  • not be a current student moving from another course to the MBA

Open to students of all nationalities who demonstrate an outstanding academic and professional track record with strong personal leadership potential. 

To apply, you should submit:

  • your CV
  • a digital creative piece, such as a blog, podcast or presentation. It should be no more than 10 minutes or 500 words, pitching the following:
    • Why do organisations need to start looking at the Triple Bottom Line (profit, people, planet) when making decisions for their organisations and their teams?
    • Why should you be considered for this scholarship award?
    • How do you intend to apply your knowledge from your MBA to become a responsible leader and make your mark after you graduate from Manchester Metropolitan University?’

You must apply by 30 June 2025. We will not consider late applications.

If we get a lot of applications, we may ask you to do an interview.
