Our sport courses open a wide range of specialist careers and possibilities for you. Here’s a selection.

  • Strength and conditioning coach

    Strength and conditioning coaches design and implement exercise programmes to improve the physical performance of athletes. You'll work with individuals and teams to enhance strength, speed, agility, and endurance while minimizing the risk of injury.
  • Sports nutritionist

    Sport nutritionists play a key role in the success of athletes. In this role, you'd design periodised plans to maximize energy levels, facilitate efficient recovery, and enhance overall performance.
  • Sports management

    You could pursue a management career working for sports organisations, teams, or agencies. This may involve roles in sports marketing, event management, sports policy or governance.
  • Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP)

    CEPs study how the body responds to exercise and physical activity. You may work in clinical settings, rehabilitation centres, or sports performance labs.
  • Sport Psychologist

    A varied career, you could work in a clinical role supporting people recovering from injury or living with illness. You may also choose to work for a sports club supporting elite athletes and teams with their wellbeing to enhance performance.
  • PhD researcher
