The University of Graz was founded in 1585 and is Austria’s second oldest university.
With 31,000 students, six faculties, 120 study courses and 76 specialist institutes, it’s also one of the largest universities in the country.
The university is well linked to its host city - and the location of Graz has helped shaped the institution’s outlook, benefitting as it does from a lively scientific, economic and cultural exchange with south east Europe.
Six Nobel laureates have taught and researched at the University of Graz.
