Professor Jennie Shorley

My profile

Biography

Jennie is Head of Accreditations, Head of Engaged Scholarship and Head of Impact in the Faculty of Business and Law at Manchester Metropolitan University. A strategic leader in various aspects of engagement and knowledge exchange, I have a significant track record of singlehandedly designing and winning over £14M of transformative programmes for the Centre for Enterprise and Manchester Met.

I have a significant national and international profile in knowledge exchange leadership and innovation, including a recent invitation to give the keynote speech at the University of West London’s inaugural Knowledge Exchange conference, and directing Praxis Auril’s Foundations of Knowledge Exchange as well as developing a UK wide Knowledge Exchange Skills Framework.

I have been invited to be an expert reviewer with the European Commission on innovation eco-systems, a member of the ESRC’s Peer Review College for Impact Acceleration Accounts and a national Knowledge Exchange Framework evaluator.

Under my leadership, the Business School has achieved re-accreditation with AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA, creating the triple crown of elite global accreditations, awarded to 1% of Business Schools. The emphasis on impact in each of our top 3 accreditations is a key part of our success.

I am passionate about connecting the university, research and education with society and business, as well as developing excellence and engagement in our triple accreditation portfolio.  Jennie has a national and international reputation for knowledge exchange, accreditation excellence and impact.
