I am interested in both quantitative and qualitative research with a particular focus on social psychology, neuropsychology and health psychology.

I am conducting ongoing, funded, research with Future Directions Community Interest Company. Future Directinos CIC is a leading, high quality social care provider for people with learning disabilities and complex needs in the North West. Research includes a focus on positive behavioural support, identity, and engagement in meaningful activity.
I was supported in my PhD research by Acquired Brain Injury Ireland and continue to be involved in research with ABI Ireland that focuses on links betweed social identity, acquired brain injury, and outcomes.

My primary research interest is the application of a social identity approach to the study of health and well-being. Particularly in the context of ABI and other chronic conditions
My Irish Research Council funded PhD was undertaken in the Department of Psychology, University of Limerick. The project title was: ‘A social identity approach to Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)’.
