Biography

I have worked in the Faculty since 2007 as a Senior Lecturer in Nursing and led the Academic recruitment for Pre Registration Nursing Admissions for Adult,  Mental Health and Nursing Associate courses for 15 years. I held the position as Deputy programme Leader for BSc Adult Nursing for 12 months, before being appointed to the role as Deputy Head of Department for Health Professions in summer 2024, moving from nursing to a department that supports the education, training and development of Physiotherapists, Speech and Language therapists, Dietitians and Occupational Therapists, with a portfolio relating Nutritional Sciences and Occupational Safety, Health  and Environment.

Undergraduate and postgraduate nursing, stroke, nutrition, clinical skills. 

Postgraduate teaching

I currently co-ordinate two MSc Practice Development units:

  • Multiprofessional approaches to stroke rehabilitation
  • Evidence based approach to acute stroke management
