Research cluster: Cultures of Disability
A multidisciplinary network of researchers studying disability and disabled people, past and present.
About
About our research
Our focus is disability and the experiences of disabled people - throughout history and in the modern world.
We bring together researchers from a range of disciplines, including history, philosophy, art, and health and social care.
Part of our remit is to encourage and help the public to engage with academic research into disability cultures.
This includes working with partners, such as the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Manchester City Council, to host public talks about research into disability.
