This project is delivering a series of fully-funded business engagement events focused on cyber security support and guidance.

It aims to raise awareness and support business development to help drive inward investment in cyber security in the Greater Manchester area.

Available to small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the programme applies cyber security research to protect business operations and assets while strengthening cyber defences.

SMEs will work with research staff from four partner universities in the technical support phase of the project.

Our focus is driving economic growth and productivity by helping SMEs to:

  • defend their business from cyber-attacks and be compliant with security and data regulations

  • develop new products and services while auditing current systems

  • improve processes and strategies to expand and grow their business

Reports from the National Cyber Security Centre and GCHQ have shown a demand for cyber security provision and the need to demonstrate cyber competency to gain access to - and operate effectively - in supply chains.

And while business owners may be unaware of the potential benefits of engaging with cyber innovation, this project puts cyber security at the heart of business growth strategy.
