Manchester Metropolitan University Business School has been recognised for pushing creative boundaries in the delivery of its teaching, learning, recruitment and alumni relations.

The University’s Business School won the award for the Best Innovation Strategy at the Association of MBAs & Business Graduates Association Awards.

The award ceremony, which took place on January 19, also marked the 30th year the School has held an Association of MBAs accreditation.

The accreditation and award illustrates the success of the School’s commitment to student employability.

A particular example is the engagement of 5000 students in a Strengths Coaching Accreditation, which has helped them to develop expertise in resilience, confidence and self-awareness.

This year, the initiative has seen 30% of students who took part securing placements with Times Top 100 Employers.

Professor Hannah Holmes, Dean of Business School at Manchester Metropolitan University, said: “This award is an incredible way to mark Manchester Metropolitan’s 200-year anniversary in 2024 and a credit to our fantastic students and faculty members.

“The award highlights our collective efforts to deliver excellence in business education whilst also making a positive impact on our communities, nationally and internationally.”

The AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards bring together the leading lights of the global business education community to recognise and celebrate excellence among business schools, students and graduates, supplier and employers that share AMBA & BGA’s values of ambition, impact and integrity.
