Business School recognised for research strength
This week saw the publication of the results of REF 2021. Manchester Metropolitan University is, for the first time, one of the highest ranked modern universities on the basis of our overall grading of 3.11 (out of 4), which represents a significant improvement on the previous score of 2.74.
Business Management at Manchester Metropolitan Business School has risen to 44th place with a GPA of 3.07, and are 35th in the power rankings having submitted 79 FTE.
On impact, which is a real strength for the Faculty, we have a GPA of 3.5 and are placed 17th of all UK Business Schools.
This is a fantastic endorsement of the importance of our research to the world beyond academia. We also made important contributions to other UoAs, most notably Sports and Exercise Science, which is ranked 7th for power.
