The Student Code of Conduct sets out the standard of conduct the University expects of its students so that everyone can undertake their studies in a supportive and non-threatening environment. Any behaviour that affects the safety or well-being of students or staff is regarded as misconduct.

Choose the appropriate study space for your needs. Please show consideration to others by using the correct space for your needs.

You can bring and heat food in the library kitchen areas. You can also access hot and cold water to make drinks in bottles or cups with a lid.

If you are visiting Special Collections please do not take any food or drink into these areas.
Using Library resources

Only take resources out of the Library that you have borrowed.

Please look after the items you take out as you may be charged for lost, stolen or damaged items. If a book you’ve requested has come from the British Library replacement charges can be substantial.

Remember the Library’s online services are for academic use only and must not be used for any commercial purpose.
