MHRA consists of three elements – a footnote number within the text, corresponding footnote and alphabetical-by-surname bibliography.
You must ensure you include all of these elements in your work by following the format examples available via Bloomsbury’s Cite them right MHRA site.
Cite Them Right provides advice on how to cite and reference a broad range of source types in the MHRA style and the site also offers an MHRA | Cite Them Right tutorial on referencing and plagiarism.
In addition to the MHRA guidance provided via Cite them right MHRA, you can also use the official MHRA Style Guide.
If you don’t find the answer you need using Cite them right MHRA or the official MHRA Style Guide please email the Manchester Met Library Referencing Team via [email protected].
