Coaching for Academic English
If you’re a current student, you can take part in our Coaching for Academic English programme. It’s free and includes:
- English for Academic Purposes and Academic Skills classes
- 1-2-1 writing consultations
- online independent study materials

The Writing Project
If you’re looking for writing support, take advantage of this 8-week course. It’s ideal for current students who want to upskill all areas of their academic writing. The course focuses on:
- planning and structure
- punctuation
- sentence structure
- using evidence effectively
- writing critically
- formality and hedging
- writing concisely
Uniwide Languages
A fantastic opportunity for all our students and staff to develop foreign language skills.
You can study a 15 or 30-credit Uniwide Language unit as part of your degree. If you don’t have the option to study a language as part of your degree, you can sign up for Uniwide Extra for a small fee. Find out more on the Uniwide Langauges page.
