We’re an ambitious, connected University driving the I4.0 agenda in the heart of Manchester. We can work with you to bridge your I4.0 skills gap. Here we tell you how, featuring additive manufacturing (3D printing), artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things. We show how these technologies impact on ‘business 4.0’, the circular economy, and more. Across the University, our research impact and education provision is based around the crossovers between industry 4.0, ‘business 4.0’, advanced materials, manufacturing, fashion, climate adaptation, health and wellbeing. We pride ourselves on being socially responsible and a driving force towards achieving Manchester’s ambition to be carbon neutral by 2038.

Hello, I’m Dr Carl Diver and I head up Industry 4.0 at Manchester Metropolitan University. Before this, I worked in the manufacturing industry for 20 years.
How do you manage a company and a workforce in an industry 4.0 world? How do you connect your factory floor, your office, your supply chain? How do you develop your people in a world of machines and robots?
