About Get Placed and how to attend

Are you a second-year undergraduate or masters student looking for a quality year-long placement? Get Placed is a series of events, taking place throughout semester one, to help you succeed in your placement search and applications.

Why join Get Placed?

Many placement employers are starting to recruit for their 2025/26 placement roles. This means now is the time to improve your placement application skills and knowledge.

Sessions include:

  • Bitesize online sessions designed to enhance the skills essential for securing placements.
  • Active in-person tasks and activities aimed at building your placement confidence and practical abilities.
  • Employer talks where you can hear directly from recruiters about what they look for and get tips on key parts of the placement recruitment process.

Find out how a placement can increase your prospects of securing a graduate-level job on the placements webpage.

Where will the sessions be held?

Bitesize sessions will be held online via Microsoft Teams and are scheduled multiple times throughout the semester. You only need to book one session per topic. Join on your own laptop or find a PC on campus by checking PC availability.

Active learning and employer sessions will be held on campus.  Once you book, you’ll receive information about what to bring to make the most of these activities.
