Our University Structure
Introduction
Manchester Metropolitan University is led by the Board of Governors, Academic Board and the University Executive Group. The University has four faculties: Arts and Humanities, Business and Law, Health and Education, Science and Engineering. All supported by specialist Professional Services teams.
Professional Services encompasses all the non-academic areas of the University and is structured into the following functional Directorates:

Academic Services
Academic Services delivers an exceptional student experience, from Student Services to Programme Management, from Library and Cultural Services to the Careers and Employability Service.

Apprenticeship Unit
The Apprenticeship Unit oversees the University’s Degree Apprenticeship Strategy and runs our Degree Apprenticeship programmes.

Estates, Facilities and Capital Development
Estates, Facilities and Capital Development balances strategic leadership with operational delivery, driving efficiency, sustainability, innovation and value for money. We are responsible for a complex portfolio of property and facilities, delivering developments that underpin our world-class campus and providing exceptional teaching facilities embedded within a safe, secure and welcoming campus.

External Relations
External Relations connects us with the wider world – attracting new students, managing our brand, developing global partnerships and supporting our alumni community.

Finance and Procurement
Finance and Procurement is responsible for the management of the University’s financial affairs, providing financial advice and support with respect to financial strategy, financial planning, resources, investment and financial governance. We manage all income received by the University and all procurement, suppliers and payments.

The Legal and Governance Directorate works closely with colleagues in other departments and specialisms within the University, providing pragmatic advice and support regarding University business.
The Directorate is made up of four teams: Legal, Information Governance, Governance and Secretariat, and Insurance.
