Helen Barton is Director of Strategic Planning and Operations. She provides executive leadership on institutional strategy development, planning and performance management, strategic projects and operational delivery.

Prior to joining Manchester Metropolitan in 2016, she worked in several planning related roles at both the Universities of Manchester and Central Lancashire.

Earlier in her career she was a civil servant in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and worked in the banking sector.

Helen is a graduate of Churchill College, Cambridge where she studied History.
