About PAHC

We deliver academically rigorous and ethical doctoral programmes through our Postgraduate Arts and Humanities Centre (PAHC).

As a modern university, we practise engaged research. We’re collaborative and open to partnerships inside and outside academia.

Alongside traditional disciplinary-based approaches, we highlight:

  • applied, practice-based techniques

  • inter- and multidisciplinary methodologies

  • projects with elements of social, cultural and public engagement

Researcher Development Programme

All doctoral students complete research and skills training through our Researcher Development Programme (RDP) workshops and events. The RDP aims to provide a foundation for understanding wider culture and society. Go to more information about the RDP.

The Hive Journal

Created and edited by postgraduate researchers, The Hive Journal is a friendly interdisciplinary platform. It allows you to present your research in an online academic journal while gaining experience of the peer-review process. Find out more about the Hive Journal.

Arts and Humanities Engagement And Dialogue (AHEAD)

AHEAD is the Faculty of Arts and Humanities’ public engagement programme.  You’ll have access to regular events and collaborations covering topics, disciplines and research areas from across the faculty. Find out more about AHEAD.
