Biography
Andy Dickinson is a senior lecturer and course leader of the MA in Multimedia Journalism in the School of Journalism and Digital communication at Manchester Metropolitan University.
He has over 20 years of experience in Journalism education, training and consultancy. Prior to joining MMU he was a Senior Lecturer in Journalism at the University of Central Lancashire.
Andy’s career started in TV as a video editor and director specialising in documentary production. Broadcast clients including Sky, Granada TV, BBC and Discovery Channel.
But his career has led him to focus on the shift to digital and online journalism helping both students and industry grapple with the challenges of working in a digital world.
