Attend a subject talk

Find your perfect course

Visit one of our autumn open days.

Open days are the best way to get a feel for what a university is like. You’ll get to explore facilities, chat with academics, and meet current students. They can help you narrow down your university choices and can also help you choose your course if you are undecided.

Here are our five top tips to help you get the most out of your day and help you feel informed about what and where you want to study.

Attend a subject talk

Join a subject talk on the course(s) you’re interested in. This will give you an overview of things like course content, placement options, career destinations and entry requirements. Plus, you can get one-to-one advice and meet course tutors at their subject stand.

Meet current students

Keep an eye out for our student ambassadors. They’ll be happy to tell you all about their student experience so feel free to ask them questions. At our Open Days, you can find student ambassadors on some of the subject stands as well as on-campus tours.

Join a campus tour

Take a campus tour to get a feel for what life as a student could be like for you. From the spaces you’ll study in, to the places you’ll eat and catch up with friends, the campus will be at the heart of it all.

Take a self-guided accommodation tour

Open days are a great opportunity to find out more about university accommodation. Attend a talk or take a self-guided accommodation tour to compare some of our halls of residence at Manchester Met to find the perfect base for your life on campus. Use your campus map to guide you to the sample of halls we’re showing for the Open Day.
