Biography
With more than two decades of experience in event management education, Shaun is the Principal Lecturer for the events management subject area at Manchester Metropolitan University. He has a proven track record of providing event management education on a global scale having delivered lectures in countries such as China, Vietnam, Hong Kong, India and numerous European nations.
Shaun is currently the program leader for the BA (Hons) Events Management course. In his capacity, he has played a pivotal role in the creation of “Event Connect”, an industry-driven initiative focused on enhancing the skills, knowledge and attributes of event students that are essential for success in the events industry.
Projects
Shaun is highly focused on globalising the event management curriculum at Manchester Metropolitan University, Alongside an events colleague, he has developed an event management simulation game for students studying event management courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The aim of the simulation game is to provide students from different international institutions an interactive experience based on the planning of a large scale exhibition whilst enriching the student learning experience.
