Biography
I am an educator and publisher interested in system change and social justice in the education and arts sectors. I teach Publishing and Creative Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University, and also lead on Industry Placements and Internships for the English Department. I worked in independent publishing for over a decade, including roles at Saqi Books, Telegram, and Haus Publishing. I was previously Publishing Manager at Comma Press, where I coordinated the Northern Fiction Alliance and led various sector support initiatives designed to improve access to the industry. I am the co-founder of Manchester-in-Translation and Editor of various anthologies of international literature, including All Walls Collapse: Stories of Separation (with English PEN), Europa28: Writing by Women on the Future of Europe (with Hay Festival) and Banthology: Stories from Unwanted Nations (Comma Press).
