Biography

Academic and professional qualifications

I graduated from the University of Salford in 1997 and went on to undertake a masters degree at the University of Manchester which I completed in 1990. After working with young people in a variety of settings, I commenced a PGCE course and qualified as a Teacher.

In 2006 I successfully completed the Leading from the Middle’ management course.

This was organised by the LEA and I undertood a workshop on active learning within the classroom

2013- Contributed to the Religious Education section of the BBC Bitesize website

Spring 2015 Faculty Learning and Teaching Conference, Manchester Metropolitan University

A workshop for university colleagues exploring change within institutions and the management of this.

Myself and a colleague are currently engaged developing a package involving History and Drama for schools and other providers to explore Peterloo from the perspective of females at the time.

I am currently undertaking research exploring Religious Education in the classroom and the use of learners personal faith stories.
