In the past I have held the following roles:
- Year 2 lead for undergradute psychology programmes
- Retention and progression lead for psychology department
- Disability and exceptional factors coordinator for postgraduate students for psychology department
- Disabillity coordinator for FDA Health and Social Care programme
- Held the position of unit leader for two level 4 units and one level 5 units on the FdA Health and Social Care programme for 5 years
- Co-lead for the marketing of the BSc Contemporary Health programme
I have also have the following exprience
- Authored and developed the MMU Harvard standard referencing guide, in collaboration with library staff, to support consistency in information being provided to students across programmes initially, and eventually university wide provision
- Researching, planning and writing new units across undergradute programmes
- Reviewed programme units to provided advice on their suitability
- Contributed to the writing of two new undergradute programme specification documents
- Participating as a core panel member at a programme approval event which lead to the approval of a new programme
- Developed a revised personal tutoring process for the FdA Health and Social Care programme
- Finding, securing and maintaining relationship with placement providers for students on the FdA Health and Social Care programme

I am currently undertaking my PhD which focuses on care for older people within the South Asian community.
My main research interest are:
- Research involving minority ethnic people
- Acculturation, including post-immigration generation perspectives
- Culture and psychology
- Intergenerational family relations
